Hi, I’m Joe.
I write original folk-rock songs that feature introspective themes, moving imagery, raw heartfelt vocals, and melodic guitar. I write songs about myself, about people I know, about people I’ve made up, about feelings I feel, and about those I can only imagine.
I’ve been producing my own recordings of original songs since 2007, and I like to think I’m getting better. I may just be learning to quit the crappy songs quicker. Either way, I’m glad.
I’ve played in a variety of bands with different styles and dynamics, but eventually realized how little I care about guitar solos, amplifier stacks, and lighting rigs, and how much I care about stories, poetry, and the captivating creative moment of singing a song that’s never been sung before.
Although my primary focus is writing songs and rendering them into fixed form, I do occasionally perform live. Follow my blog here and you’ll be sure to find out when and where.
